Microphonepet Climbs Up The CMJ Charts!
A week of excellent gains across the board for ‘Microphonepet’! With tracked spins on the Radio Select and Independent Radio Select chart, we’re seeing stations giving the album some solid airtime, and the hip hop panel continues to show their enthusiasm with a bump into the #2 spot at CMJ Hip Hop! In addition to this, movement on the Dusted chart shows that influential stations have been getting behind the record, as it only tracks key stations in big markets. Top 200 support came from KSCU, KEXP (#23!), KFAI, KLSU, KVCU, WVFS, WVKR, and WVUM this week, with key hip hop support from KBOO, KEXP (#3!!), KFAI, KFJC, KFSR, KLSU, KTRU, KTSW, KUCI, WHUS, and WVUM. We also saw support on the RPM side from KALX, KFJC, KTUH, KUPS, WUVT, and WWVU. Next week we’re going to push for a #1 at CMJ Hip Hop, and we’re looking forward to another strong showing on the next chart!!

Download a Mochipet Jamie Lidell Remix from XLR8R.COM
XLR8R: “Besides releasing his latest album, Microphonepet, touring the U.S., and further bending the boundaries of hip-hop, Mochipet has kept himself busy remixing for a number of different artists, the latest of them being none other than Warp wonder-kid Jamie Lidell. “Little Bit of Feel Good” is off Lidell’s forthcoming Jim release, and Mochipet stamps his own twisted interpretation of neo-soul onto the track, adding some heavy bass and glitchy beats.”
